Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Prepare the Instant Pot by setting it to ‘Sauté’ mode and adding olive oil.
  3. Sear the chicken breasts for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Set the chicken aside after searing.
  5. De-glaze the pot by pouring in the chicken broth and scraping up any browned bits.
  6. Add the seared chicken back to the pot, making sure it’s covered in broth.
  7. Close the lid securely and set the valve to sealing.
  8. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  9. Release the pressure naturally for 5 minutes before quick-releasing any remaining pressure.
  10. Rest the chicken for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For maximum flavor, ensure your chicken is well-seasoned. Don’t skip the de-glazing step for added taste.
