Ingredients

  • 1 box (18.3 oz) brownie mix (Any brand; check for halal certification)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup nuts (chopped walnuts or pecans; optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients on the counter.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Mix together the brownie mix, egg, and oil in a bowl.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  5. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on top of the cookies.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are firm.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.
