These wings are the perfect blend of sweet and smoky, creating a flavor explosion with every bite. The honey caramelizes beautifully in the oven, creating a sticky glaze that’ll have your guests licking their fingers.

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup BBQ sauce (halal-certified)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced green onions (For garnishing)
  • Sesame seeds (For garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Combine the honey, BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl of marinade. Toss until thoroughly coated.
  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the rack and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Brush more of the marinade over the wings during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  6. Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Ensure that the wings are patted dry for the crispiest result. For an extra kick, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
