A rich and flavorful buttercream frosting infused with Kahlua liqueur, perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and brownies.

  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Kahlua liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (optional for chocolate version)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until combined.
  3. Pour in the Kahlua liqueur and vanilla extract, then beat until smooth and well blended.
  4. If the frosting is too thick, add heavy cream or milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
  5. For chocolate Kahlua frosting, sift in cocoa powder and mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or brownies.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Let it sit at room temperature to soften before using again.
