A hassle-free, heartwarming Slow Cooker Lasagna that brings together layers of rich sauce, creamy cheese, and hearty meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the meat: In a skillet, cook the ground beef or sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat to keep your lasagna from becoming greasy.
  2. Mix the ricotta: In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, the egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Start with sauce: Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Layer the noodles: Place 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, fitting them without breaking.
  5. Add the good stuff: Add half of the ricotta mixture, followed by half of the ground meat, and a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers: Repeat with remaining noodles, ricotta mixture, ground meat, and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Final touches: Finish with marinara sauce and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  8. Slow cook to perfection: Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
