  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon culinary lavender, dried
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and the large egg, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and dried lavender in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture with the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
