Delicious bites of sweet lobster and delicate crab wrapped in a creamy, buttery mixture, perfect for gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the Butter & Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and cream cheese. Use an electric mixer or spatula to blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the Seafood: Gently fold in the chopped lobster meat, shredded crab meat, lemon juice, and lemon zest with the butter and cream cheese mixture, taking care not to break up the seafood too much.
  4. Season the Filling: Mix in the chopped parsley, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper, ensuring everything is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  5. Shape the Bombs: Scoop the mixture using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, forming small balls or bombs. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Coat in Breadcrumbs: Once all the mixture is shaped into balls, roll each butter bomb in the breadcrumbs, coating them fully. Place them back on the baking sheet.
  7. Drizzle with Olive Oil: Drizzle a little olive oil over the top of each butter bomb to help them crisp up beautifully during baking.
  8. Bake to Perfection: Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the butter bombs are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  9. Cool Slightly: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve with a tangy dipping sauce like lemon herb aioli or a spicy remoulade. Pairs well with a light salad or crusty bread.
