Crispy phyllo pastries filled with savory spinach and creamy feta, perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Phyllo dough
  • Fresh spinach (about 8 oz)
  • Feta cheese (crumbled, 4 oz)
  • Olive oil (for brushing and cooking)
  • Garlic (minced, 3 cloves)
  • Dried oregano (1 tsp)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
  3. Wilt the spinach in the skillet, stirring occasionally.
  4. Mix wilted spinach with feta, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  5. Prepare phyllo dough by brushing it with olive oil.
  6. Layer several sheets of phyllo on top of each other with olive oil.
  7. Add spoonfuls of the spinach and feta mixture to one end.
  8. Roll the phyllo tightly around the filling.
  9. Brush the tops with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, keep phyllo dough covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent drying out.
