Indulge in this rich and sweet treat combining crunchy biscuit, gooey caramel, and luscious chocolate for a nostalgic dessert experience.

Ingredients

  • 200g digestive biscuits
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 397g sweetened condensed milk
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 100g milk chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Crush the digestive biscuits into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter.
  3. Press the biscuit mixture firmly into the bottom of a baking dish.
  4. Bake the base in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. Combine the sweetened condensed milk, golden syrup, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan.
  6. Cook over medium heat while stirring for 10-15 minutes until thickened and light caramel in color.
  7. Pour the caramel over the cooled biscuit base and spread evenly.
  8. Melt the dark and milk chocolate together until smooth.
  9. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and spread evenly.
  10. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For a crispier base, press firmly and watch the caramel closely to avoid burning. You can also top with sea salt for added flavor.
