  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 12 slices American cheese or cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached at the edges.
  3. Prepare garlic butter by mixing softened butter with garlic powder, if using.
  4. Assemble the sandwiches by laying the bottom halves of the rolls down and placing two slices of cheese on each roll half.
  5. Cover each cheesy bottom half with the top halves of the rolls.
  6. Grill the sandwiches on the preheated grill or skillet for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
  7. Flip the sandwiches and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  8. Cool the sandwiches slightly before slicing them into individual mini sandwiches.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
