A quick and delicious shrimp recipe with a luscious honey garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or a soy alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (olive or sesame)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Heat the pan over medium-high heat with the tablespoon of oil.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  5. Create the sauce by drizzling in honey and soy sauce; stir and let caramelize for another minute.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Keep an eye on the shrimp while they cook to avoid overcooking. Fresh or frozen shrimp can be used, just ensure they are thawed beforehand. For alternatives, try maple syrup or agave in place of honey.
