A warm and savory pie filled with sausage, cheese, and vegetables, perfect for family gatherings or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausage (Italian or breakfast sausage)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper (chopped)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the sausage in a skillet until browned, then add onions and bell peppers.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Prepare the pie crust in a pie dish and add the sausage mixture.
  5. Add the shredded cheese over the sausage mixture.
  6. Combine the egg mixture and pour it over the filling.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, use turkey sausage. Add more veggies like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
