Quick and simple no-bake cookies that combine chocolate and oats for a nostalgic treat.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (or a butter substitute)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by gathering and measuring them out.
  2. Combine sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a medium saucepan.
  3. Melt the butter and milk over medium heat, stirring until boiling, for about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the oats and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Scoop spoonfuls onto wax paper and allow to cool for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Notes

Make sure to let the mixture boil for a full minute for the right texture. Use quick-cooking oats for best results.
