A warm, comforting peach cobbler that brings together family and friends with its tender, juicy peaches and golden buttery crust.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the freshly sliced peaches, 1/2 cup of sugar, ground cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl.
  3. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, the remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Pour in the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.
  5. Carefully pour the batter into a greased baking dish, ensuring it’s spread evenly.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter.
  7. Place your baking dish into the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches for the best flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
