Pepperoni Pizza Quesadillas

Delicious quesadillas filled with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and pizza sauce, creating a crispy and cheesy delight.

Ingredients

  • 8 count flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brush one side of a tortilla with olive oil.
  2. Place the tortilla oil-side down in the skillet and spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly on top.
  3. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese over the sauce layer.
  4. Add a layer of sliced pepperoni on top of the mozzarella.
  5. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
  6. Top with a second tortilla and press gently with a spatula.
  7. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt.
  8. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until it is golden and crispy.
  9. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet, let it rest for a minute, then slice into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

These quesadillas are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
