A comforting dish that combines the bold flavors of a classic sandwich with hearty pasta, featuring melted provolone cheese and tender steak.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or macaroni)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, sliced thin
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced steak and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add onion and bell pepper; sauté until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  5. Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and cheese until melted.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and steak back into the skillet, mixing well. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

This dish pairs well with a green salad and garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
