  • 2 lbs pork shoulder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Buns for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the pork shoulder generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin.
  2. Prepare the base by combining chopped onion, minced garlic, and chicken broth in the slow cooker.
  3. Layer the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onion mixture.
  4. Add the BBQ sauce over the pork.
  5. Slow cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. Shred the pork using two forks once done.
  7. Mix the shredded pork with the remaining BBQ sauce in the slow cooker.
  8. Serve the pulled pork on buns, drizzling with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
