  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the pumpkin mixture until just mixed.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set and tops are golden.
  9. Cool on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
