Delicious and crispy chicken cutlets that evoke memories of family gatherings and home-cooked meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced thin)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (Can substitute with gluten-free flour)
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably seasoned, can substitute with gluten-free breadcrumbs)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Vegetable oil, as needed for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by slicing thinly and seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  2. Set up your breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs in separate bowls.
  3. Dredge each chicken slice in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry the cutlets in a skillet with hot vegetable oil for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Drain cooked cutlets on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges and your choice of dipping sauces.

Notes

For extra crunch, double-dip the chicken in egg and breadcrumbs. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
