A warm and comforting dessert featuring caramelized roasted pears topped with creamy goat cheese and a maple-walnut drizzle.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Toss the pear halves with olive oil, salt, and pepper in a baking dish.
  3. Place the pears cut side up in the dish and roast for 20-25 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  4. Combine the maple syrup and chopped walnuts in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the pears from the oven and let cool slightly.
  6. Top each pear half with crumbled goat cheese and drizzle with the warm maple-walnut mixture.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary if desired. Serve warm.

Notes
