Delightful cookies with chewy sweetness and rich caramel, finished with a touch of sea salt.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel candies until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop heaping spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are just set.
  9. Sprinkle a little sea salt on top of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

These cookies pair well with milk or coffee and can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
