Delicious bars with a buttery crust topped with gooey caramel, rich chocolate, and crunchy coconut.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 baking pan by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the unsalted butter with the brown sugar until frothy and creamy.
  3. Add in the all-purpose flour gradually, stirring until a thick dough forms.
  4. Evenly spread the dough into the prepared pan to form the crust.
  5. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle shredded coconut and chocolate chips over the crust.
  7. Pour the warm caramel sauce evenly over the toppings.
  8. Return the pan to the oven for 15-20 minutes until the edges are bubbly and golden.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing them into squares.

Notes

Store leftover bars in an airtight container for up to four days or refrigerate for a week.
