A comforting dish of savory Italian sausage stuffed into sweet mini peppers, perfect for any gathering.

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 sweet mini peppers, halved and seeds removed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) while you prepare the filling.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, drain the excess fat and let the sausage cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled sausage, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  5. Take each mini pepper half and stuff it with the sausage mixture.
  6. Arrange the stuffed peppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until the peppers are tender and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

These stuffed peppers are also great as leftovers; store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
