A quick and delightful dish that combines tender chicken with a tangy orange sauce and fresh broccoli.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Orange Sauce: In a bowl, combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until the cornstarch is fully dissolved, creating a beautiful orange sauce full of flavor.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken pieces in a single layer. Sear them until they develop a golden-brown crust, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the Broccoli: After the chicken is beautifully seared, add the broccoli florets to the pan. Stir-fry them with the chicken for about 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender yet still vibrant and crisp.
  4. Coat with Orange Sauce: Pour the heavenly orange sauce mixture over the chicken and broccoli. Stir everything gently but thoroughly to ensure that every piece is well coated. Allow it to cook until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve the Dish: Serve the Seared Orange Chicken and Broccoli hot, garnished with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.

Notes
