These sesame honey cookies are easy to make and perfect for any occasion, combining the sweetness of honey with the nutty crunch of toasted sesame seeds.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the honey and egg until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and half of the toasted sesame seeds.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the remaining sesame seeds.
  7. Drop tablespoons of the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Enjoy the cookies with tea!
