Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; reserve some pasta water and drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until fragrant—this step is where the magic begins!
  4. Cook the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Pour in white wine and lemon juice, simmer for a few minutes to meld the flavors.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture; add reserved pasta water if needed to coat the pasta beautifully.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving, and get ready for compliments!

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients like parsley and lemon juice. Adjust spice levels to personal preference by omitting red pepper flakes if desired.
