A nostalgic dish that transforms a simple meal into a fun-filled experience with its sweet and tangy flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks to ensure even browning. Once browned, drain any excess fat.
  2. Sauté the veggies: Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet with the beef. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables have softened.
  3. Mix in the sauce: Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and mustard. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Simmer to perfection: Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for about 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve on buns: Spoon the mixture onto hamburger buns and serve immediately.
