Tender, flavorful pork cooked slowly to perfection, ideal for tacos and sharing.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pork shoulder by placing it in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix the spices in a separate bowl: onion, garlic, jalapeño, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Pour the orange juice and lime juice over the pork.
  5. Slow cook on low for 8 hours or until tender.
  6. Shred the pork with two forks and serve with tortillas and toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
