A comforting and versatile slow-cooked shredded beef recipe perfect for sandwiches, rice bowls, and tacos.

  • 2 to 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef by placing the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic generously on top of the beef.
  3. Mix the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, and chili powder in a small bowl, then pour it over the meat.
  4. Cook on low heat for 8 hours until tender and easily shreddable.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks in the slow cooker, mixing with the juices.
  6. Serve your shredded beef on buns, rice, or in tacos.
