A delectable marinade for ribs that adds smoky, sweet, and tangy flavors, perfect for summer cookouts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, and soy sauce. Stir those rich flavors together!
  2. Add in the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. This is where the magic happens—giving your marinade its smoky, savory goodness.
  3. Whisk all the ingredients thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and the sugar has dissolved completely. A little arm action never hurt anyone!
  4. Place your ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow container, then pour in that glorious marinade. Let it envelop every inch.
  5. Seal the bag or cover the container tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Don’t forget to turn occasionally for even flavor infusion!
  6. When you’re ready to cook, remove the ribs from the marinade, reserving the excess for basting later. The anticipation is building!
  7. Grill or bake the ribs according to your preferred method, basting generously with the reserved marinade every 15 minutes until the ribs are thoroughly cooked, and the glaze becomes sticky and tacky. Seriously, this is where the magic unfolds!

Notes

Ensure the ribs reach an internal temperature of 145°F for safe consumption. Experiment with additional spices for different flavor profiles.
