A delicious Sourdough Calzone filled with ooey-gooey cheese and your favorite toppings, encased in a warm, golden-brown crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sourdough starter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Your favorite toppings (e.g., pepperoni, vegetables, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Mix the sourdough starter, flour, salt, and olive oil in a large bowl until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  3. Let it rise for about 2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  6. Place cheese and desired toppings on one half of the dough.
  7. Fold the other half over and seal the edges by crimping with a fork.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly, then serve and enjoy!
