A delightful and nostalgic Strawberry Shortcake transformed into an accessible sheet cake, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a sheet cake pan.
  2. Combine the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  4. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  6. Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream evenly.
