A stunning dessert featuring a crisp meringue shell topped with whipped cream and seasonal fresh fruits, perfect for summer celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • Assorted fresh fruits (e.g., berries, kiwi, mango, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar, beating until glossy.
  3. Fold in the white vinegar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.
  4. Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a round disc with a slight dip in the center.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, or until dry. Let cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar.
  6. Whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  7. Top the cooled meringue with whipped cream and arrange fresh fruits on top. Serve immediately.
