Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix together the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, milk, egg, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Brown the meatballs in a large skillet with melted butter over medium heat until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  4. Create a roux by adding flour to the skillet and cooking for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in beef broth, then stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for another 10 minutes. Serve hot.
