Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, alternating between them starting and ending with dry ingredients.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool the cake in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Create the milky soak by mixing evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream.
  9. Soak the cooled cake by poking holes and pouring the milk mixture over it.
  10. Prepare the topping by beating heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  11. Dust with cinnamon before serving.
